Overview:
The VP-Team Lead will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a small group of Credit Officer's whose primary focus is on reviewing and adjudicating loans and leases in a range of dollar sizes and company sizes.
The individual who is successful in this role will be comfortable building relationships cross functionally to help provide a positive customer experience.
While this individual will be tasked with managing the day-to-day activities of a team, this person will also be asked to contribute to the direct underwriting and adjudication of applications.
The individual who succeeds in this role will help drive a culture of risk management and accountability.
The ideal candidate will be someone looking to making an immediate impact, can lead by example, and be looking for an opportunity to grow as a manager and leader.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a mentor and will be charged with the development of the team and act as a resource/escalation point.
Responsible for reviewing and analyzing client credit data to determine creditworthiness.
Reviews will include some of the larger, more complex app only transactions received.
Daily responsibilities will also include assisting the funding/operations team on back-end risk items as well as acting as a general resource for Sales, Funding, and Credit departments.

5 years of work experience in a credit related role in the finance or banking industry.
Experience with spreading financial statementsPreferred
Qualifications:
2 years of management experience preferred.
Experience evaluating consumer and commercial credit bureau reports.
Experience with analyzing business financial statements and/or tax returns to determine creditworthinessAttributes:
Experience in managing a small team of underwriters.
Self-accountability and the ability to hold others accountableDemonstrates initiative/confidence and is decisive.
Ability to make effective, timely and sound recommendations and decisions on credit requests.
Ability to analyze data and complete a trend analysis.

Strong computer skills.
Knowledge of credit scoring preferred.
Salary:
$35 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
