Installs, maintains, and repairs electric motors, generators, and related electrical and mechanical equipment.

Installs, maintains, and repairs valves, sinks, wash bowls, sewers, and other sanitary fixtures.

Performs a variety of brick, cement and carpentry work.

Performs electric and acetylene welding and brazing.

Maintains and repairs heating and air conditioning equipment.

Operates power lathes, drill presses, threading machines, and grinding machines.

Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of the principles and techiques of the skilled building trades or mechanical repair work.

Knowlege of safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work.

Skills in using tools and equipment in maintenance and repair work.

Ability to perform a variety of skilled trades functions.

Ability to read blueprints.

Ability to install, maintain and repair electric motors, generators and other mechanical equipment.

Ability to take accurate measurements.

Ability to follow instructions.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:

Two years of experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing or electrical or mechanical equipment, or
Vocational/technical training in mechanical repair or one of the building trades can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the requiried experience.
